What actions update the "Last activity date" field in HubSpot?

This knowledge base article explains what activities update the "Last activity date" field in HubSpot.

Below are the actions that automatically update the "Last activity date" field in HubSpot.
  • a note
  • a call
  • a tracked email
  • a sales email
  • a meeting
  • a message
  • a task
  • a chat
Any of the above actions will create a recent "Last activity date" for the contact.

For example, if a user logs a call and indicates that it occurred the day before, the Last activity date property will show yesterday's date.

*Special note: Marketing emails, i.e., automated emails included in workflows, will not update the "Last activity date" field.
