How does HubSpot marketing contacts billing work?

You can view your current number of marketing contacts and your billing information by going to your HubSpot account and clicking on Account & Billing. Then, click on the Marketing Contacts tab.

HubSpot marketing contacts billing works by charging you for the number of marketing contacts you have in your account. A marketing contact is a contact that you have identified as someone you want to market to. You can identify marketing contacts by setting their marketing status to "Marketing contact".

When you create a new HubSpot account, you will be assigned a free tier of marketing contacts. The number of free marketing contacts you are assigned will depend on your subscription plan. For example, Starter HubSpot accounts come with 1,000 free marketing contacts, while Professional HubSpot accounts come with 10,000 free marketing contacts.

If you exceed the number of free marketing contacts included in your subscription plan, you will be automatically upgraded to the next contact tier. The cost of the tier upgrade will depend on your current contact tier, how many marketing contacts you have exceeded your tier limit by, and your subscription term. For example, if you are on a Starter HubSpot account and you exceed your 1,000 free marketing contacts by 500, you will be automatically upgraded to the Professional HubSpot account tier. The cost of the upgrade will be $400 per month.

You can also purchase additional marketing contacts at any time. The cost of additional marketing contacts will depend on your subscription plan and the number of additional contacts you purchase. For example, if you are on a Professional HubSpot account and you purchase 5,000 additional marketing contacts, the cost will be $2,000.

You can view your current number of marketing contacts and your billing information by going to your HubSpot account and clicking on Account & Billing. Then, click on the Marketing Contacts tab.

Here are some additional tips for managing your HubSpot marketing contacts billing:

  • Keep an eye on your marketing contact usage. If you are approaching your contact limit, you may want to consider upgrading your subscription plan or purchasing additional marketing contacts.
  • Use HubSpot's contact segmentation features to create groups of marketing contacts with similar interests. This will help you to target your marketing campaigns more effectively and avoid wasting money on marketing to contacts who are not interested in your products or services.
  • Use HubSpot's lead scoring features to identify your most valuable marketing contacts. This will help you to prioritize your marketing efforts and focus on the contacts who are most likely to convert into customers.
