How do I remove a contact owner from HubSpot?

The contact owner cannot be removed if they are the only user who has access to the contact record. In this case, you will need to add another user to the contact record before you can remove the contact owner.

To remove a contact owner from HubSpot, you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Contacts page.
  2. Click the Edit button for the contact record that you want to remove the contact owner from.
  3. In the Contact owner section, click the Remove button next to the contact owner that you want to remove.
  4. Click the Save button.

Once you have removed the contact owner, the contact record will be assigned to the Default owner. The default owner is the first user who created the contact record.

If you do not want to assign the contact record to the default owner, you can assign it to another user. To do this, click the Change owner button and select the user that you want to assign the contact record to.

Here are some additional things to keep in mind when removing a contact owner from HubSpot:

  • The contact owner cannot be removed if they are the only user who has access to the contact record. In this case, you will need to add another user to the contact record before you can remove the contact owner.
  • If you remove the contact owner, the contact record will be assigned to the default owner. You can change the contact owner to another user if you want.
  • If you remove a contact owner, they will no longer have access to the contact record. If you need to share the contact record with the contact owner, you can do so by adding them to the contact record as a co-owner.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have other questions.
