There’s nothing like the pure power and energy in a bolt of lightning. As a leader, you need to harness the power of the lightning strike and be the true difference-maker. Grab hold of the energy and let your passion, enthusiasm, and knowledge shine through.
Lighting never follows a direct path. It can strike anything, anywhere, any time. You can do the same in your leadership role and make an everlasting impact on people’s lives. Everyone needs a little spark sometimes -- some more than others. It’s the leaders that provide giant sparks that typically leave the most significant imprint.
The type of leadership I’m talking about is everlasting. Meaning that long after you’re gone, people and companies are still going to be talking about you. The idea is to create generational leadership. Do such a fantastic job that people rave about how you used the power of inspirational and motivational leadership to change the trajectory from negative to positive in people’s lives.
In your leadership role, you may end up sideways, upside down, or straight-on as if you were shot out of a cannon. The direction doesn’t matter; the commitment does. When frustration kicks in, when you don’t feel like going on anymore, that’s when you need to kick into gear and push harder. Many people will give up at this point, so it’s imperative that you stand tall, stay confident, and guide your team, crew, family, through this time with integrity.
Scrappiness, grit, resilience, are all traits you’re going to need to muster up to be the positive lightning strike. — Brandon Schaefer
You don’t have to be born with a silver spoon in your mouth to be a great leader. In most cases, the best leaders have come from challenging backgrounds where they had to fight, sometimes both physically and mentally, to break out of their situation and overcome all kinds of odds to reach leadership greatness.
Take this as inspiration in your life to toss out the excuses and move forward. No matter what you think, you can make a difference. The circumstance or situation doesn’t define you; it’s you that defines them. If you’ve made some mistakes and want to change for the better, then do it. Don’t wait for tomorrow, do it today, right now instead, and never look back.
Your positive lightning strike journey may be on the personal or business front; it may involve making money or giving back your time; either way, it can be a success. Whatever gives you that sense of feeling and belonging is what’s most important. You feel the way you do because you’re unique. Embrace what you’ve learned here and use it to your advantage to strike positive lighting in your life.
